Holding Hands

We screen for and expect each one of our employees to be agreeable, patient, polite, congenial, refined, skillful, compassionate and above all, kind.

Enjoy the many wonderful benefits that a companion dog provides!

Lucy has been trained to provide affection and comfort to people in rehab facilities, hospitals or their own home. She was selected because of her friendly and loving disposition. Her predecessor, Alfie, used to visit the Jewish Home for the Elderly and other rehab facilities.

Lucy loves to visit our clients and bring them a little "dog happiness." They look forward to her cheerful disposition, her gentle presence, and her ready acceptance of dog treats (provided!).

Why choose Abbey Road Family Care?

If you are reading this, it is probably a time of stress and change for you and your loved ones. Rest assured, we are here to support you.

We are proud of our 20 years in the home care business, our many satisfied customers, and especially our wonderful employees.

Having lived in Fairfield County for over 40 years, Abbey Road's founders have developed strong relationships with caregivers that in some cases exceed 20 years. This allows us to hire employees that are referred to us by someone we know and whose judgement we trust.

All of our live-out (and most of our live-in) aides are also drivers, which helps clients maintain their independence, and consequently, their enthusiasm for life.

"In the 7 years that Beverly and Juliet took care of my mother, they consistently demonstrated the highest level of care, concern, and judgement. They weren't just my mothers caregivers, they were her friends."

- Thomas B. Hambury, Westport, CT

"Pauline was just terrific. Her caring for my father-in-law gave me my wife back!"

- Dr. Jeff Wagner, Weston, CT

"Abbey Road will go to extra lengths to support their customer. I mentioned that my mother was Italian and they produced a lovely Italian CNA. She and my mother cook sauce every Sunday, and have a great time together."

- Matthew Scotto

"We wanted a local organization to care for my mother in Westport, as we had been unhappy with the franchise agencies. Abbey Road provided superlative people, who kept her safe and happy."

- Dr. Neil Kurtz, Weston, CT

"Abbey Road has consistently provided us with superior caregivers. Their focus on personal attention is very reassuring."

- The Fine Family, Fairfield County
