WOODBURY, CT — Jane Hutchison, owner of Abbey Road Family Care, has recently opened her concierge home care agency. Jane and her late husband, Hal, spent decades building their original home-care business to match people with the live-in or live-out aides they need. “When I lost Hal earlier this year, I took a little time to grieve,” Ms. Hutchison said. “Now, my son William has joined me in in this new venture and I couldn’t be more pleased with the way he’s carrying on his father’s legacy of quality care.”

William Hutchison, COO, explained, “We invest time in understanding each client’s individuality. Our clients are not just patients needing assistance with daily tasks, but individuals with stories and interests. We believe that a good match not only aids in care but also promotes overall well-being.”

Abbey Road Family Care was recently able to support a client with dementia, whose family wished for him to engage in more stimulating activities.

Ms. Hutchison said, “We matched him with an aide who shared his interests, and together they enjoy golf, yoga, and even drumming lessons. Over time, our clients feel like an extension of our own family and it’s not uncommon for us to speak with family members daily.”

The Hutchisons moved their business from Weston to Woodbury, so they could be closer to their grandchildren.
